Product Feature - Custom Burp Cloths

Who knew when we started this little business that Burp Cloths would be our #1 seller?  We sure weren't prepared for that, but we've loved making these little beauties!  Our sewing machines have been loving the attention as well, so keep those orders coming!

Custom order done for a "sprinkle".  All of these were given to 1 lucky momma!

Did you know that babies can't spit up on plain old burp cloths anymore?  Any mom who is anyone has cute burp cloths that they pull out of the diaper bag when their baby decides to spit up :]  Are you still carting around the plain white burp rags?  Showered With Love is coming to the rescue ladies!!  These burp cloths are 2 for $10 or 1 for $7, and the ordering process is super fun and easy!

These were done for a shower for a baby boy!  Our client let me know some colors, I texted her some sample photos, and we both loved these little robots!

Basically you just leave a comment on our facebook page letting us know you are interested in some burp cloths...head on over to our swatch album and let us know what fabrics you choose.  Some fabrics are in stock and some are subject to availability and all swatches are noted as such so you are in the loop!

These were done for our very first trade show and have proven to be one of the popular sellers!

Don't see anything you like on our swatches page?  Just let us know your prefered style/color choice along with your phone number, and we will text you sample photos from the fabric store!!!  This is no extra cost to you {let's face it, we love to hang around fabric!!!} and then you get exactly what you want!

This was another custom job for a woman...we paired this owl with the stripe from the butterfly pic above and it looked so cute together!

Burp cloths usually take a day to make up and we can schedule delivery/pick-up based on your schedule!  See, wasn't that easy?  Now, how many do you want :]

{above are just a few of our custom burp cloths that have already been delivered to happy mommies!}

I'm so excited to be showing you this super cute product today!  Diaper Wreaths are so much fun and are a great addition to any baby shower!  You can hang these on the front door to announce where the party is!  There's nothing worse then lugging your gift out of the car, knocking on the door the realizing you are at the wrong house :]  With the diaper wreath, problem solved!!!

We sell these starting at just $15 for a base wreath, but you can add things on from there :]

These are also super cute to hang on your co-workers cubical for their first day back from maternity leave!  How fun would that be to get such a cute and useful gift from their work family?

Another idea would be to get one of these beauties for a friend's hospital door once the baby comes :]  Our turnaround rate is super fast on these so if you have a friend in the hospital, call us and we can put a rush on your order :]

As you can see, there are tons of uses for this sweet decoration!  All the diapers are usable, and all our add on goodies are great for new babies!

Meet Amanda

Hi!  I'm Amanda.  I am the co-owner of Showered With Love along with Christy.  Here's a little info on me.  I am a wife and a mommy (more details on that below :) and I love the Lord with all my heart!  I love spending time with my family and when time permits, I love to craft!  I'm not a writer of any sort, so Christy will probably be doing 99% of the blogging!  On to the questions....

Q: Tell us about your family.
A: I have been married to my husband Brandon since 2004 (almost 8 years ago!).  We have 3 beautiful kids - Madison (5), Hannah (2), and Ben (1).  They sure keep us busy, but they are so much fun!  Being a mommy is the hardest job, but also the most fun and rewarding.  Cliche I know, but so true!  On the weekends, we love to play outside when the weather is nice and just hang out.  Madison is playing soccer, and it's so much fun to see her developing interests of her own.  Hannah and Ben are so energetic and keep me on my toes chasing after them!  It's so fun to see their personalities coming out and seeing how similar and different they are from each other.  They all get along really well and are such a blessing!

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Well...I don't get a lot of free time, but when I do, I love to craft up something!  I have a "project list" that doesn't leave me wondering "what can I work on?".  I have so many ideas!  I also love to sing.  I am in the church choir and love it!  Last year, I started to get back into reading.  I used to love reading when I was younger, then didn't have an interest in it for a long time, and now I'm back to reading.  I have several friends that I have just been getting recommendations from and trading books with.

Q: How long have you been crafting, and what's your favorite thing to make?
A: I don't even remember when I started crafting...it's been a long time I guess!  I loved art when I was younger and I think crafting just came after that.  I like taking stuff we have around the house and making it into something cute and fun!  I also like to make things for the kids and for their rooms.  One of my favorite things to make are some of our Showered With Love creations.  I think my favorite has to be the diaper cupcakes.  They are so cute and you don't see them anywhere else.

Well...that's a little info about me and my life.  If there is anything else you would like to know, just ask!

Festive Friday - I'll Fly Away

Grab your boarding pass and jump on the Stork Airline for this super cute baby shower!  All the details are amazing and they went above and beyond with all the little extras!  Make sure your trays are stored in the upright position, and your seat belts are buckled.....we are in for a fun ride!

You have to agree that all the details in this party are perfection!  From the check-in to the luggage drop off, I just love all the cute ideas!  One of the things I love about this particular shower is the use of fun furniture for displaying food/props and more!  It's so much fun to see a cute dresser being used instead of a boring table!  Another thing I love about this shower is that most of it could be done on your home computer with some sort of publishing software.  There's no doubt that this would take some time, but with a little bit of effort you too could have a super cute "Stork Airline" shower !

So what do you think, will you take flight with a project like this for your next shower or will you stay grounded and serve tea and cake?

Festive Friday - Baby Davis

We are back with another Festive Friday!  This shower we are featuring today was put on with the help of Showered With Love!  This one was for one of our Besties Kelli!  Amanda and I had some help with this shower....let me show you the goods :]

I love this idea!  Onsies on a clothesline are such a cute way to decorate for a party!  They liven up any mantle and they even look cute as name banners {we sell these by the way :]}.

Speaking of name banners, here's an example of our paper name banner!  This one was placed in a photo prop station, and now resides above Baby Davis' bed!  I love things that can be shower decorations and gifts too!

Look at that spread!!!  Can you see the center piece?!?  It's a Showered With Love Diaper Cake creation and such a cute touch to the food table!

Close up of the center piece :]  I jut love these flowers!  Don't you??  Amanda rocked out this cake :]

Here's the mommy and daddy to be modeling some Showered With Love Photo Props!  These are inexpensive at 10 props for $5, and are a super fun way to add a special touch to any shower!!

I thought this was such a fun idea and I hadn't seen it at any shower before, but we all know diapers are expensive!!  We decided to get family a head start on their diaper fund with this cute decorative piggy bank that they got to keep along with the money inside!

Another fun shower put on with the help of Showered With Love!  We will send you away today with some candid photo station pics :]  Let us know if you need any props for your next party or any other decoration for that matter! Most things that we make double as a decoration and a gift!

Meet Christy

Hi, I'm Christy! I'm co-owner of Showered With Love, but there's also some other things very important to me, and I thought I'd give you a little peek into my life outside of this super fun business :]  I am a child of God, a wife, a mommy, a writer and a creator!  Let's get to the nitty gritty.....even though it's just me writing, I thought we'd do this interview style, so here goes :]
Q: Tell us about your family.

A:  I sure do!  My family is super important to me!  My husband Johnny and I have been married since 2006, and I am truly blessed to have him in my life!  God gave him to me and I hope I never take that for granted!  Johnny and I have 2 super cute kiddos named Joey and Sam {both girls:]}.  They are so much fun and energetic.  There are often times when I'm making a SWL creation and I think to myself "They didn't have anything this cool when my kids were born".  Here's a picture of us in one of our favorite places, Wisconsin!!

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A:  When we aren't swimming in orders for SWL, I love to hang out with friends!  I have a new found love for reading and just finished The Hunger Games series {a must read if you ask me!!}.  I also love to sing...always have loved it!  I'm involved in the choir at church and I sing on our praise team from time to time!  I love Jesus and spend a lot of time with our church either serving vocally, in our online ministry or in our Life Group!!!
Q: How long have you been crafting, and what's your favorite thing to make?

A:  I've always been crafty!  I loved to draw and color growing up and was encouraged to do so by my parents but especially my dad who is an artist!  I love to create, and in this season of life, it was only a matter of time before I got to start creating for babies and friends who were about to have babies!!  A fun fact....I just started sewing in October, and love it!  I make half of our Showered With Love Burp Cloths and have even branched off into projects for my kids and family!  Amanda, SWL co-owner, was the one who taught me to sew!!! Thanks Amanda :]  My favorite thing to make has to be our Diaper Cycles!  I think they are so much fun and make such a great impression at parties!
Well, that's a little hint into my life outside of Showered With Love!  For more, click over to my personal blog StoutsRUs!  Anything you want to ask me?  Anything I didn't cover?  Feel free....I'm an open book!

Stay tuned next Wednesday for another glimpse into the makers of Showered With Love!  We can't wait to get to know you :]
